Christmas Sweet and Sour

Sooo sweet. At the end of the day, I asked Em what her favorite part of Christmas was and she said, "When I gave you the bracelet with the jingle bells!" (She picked it out herself and paid $2 for it at the PTA's "Santa Shop" at school. Looks kind of like this.) Not the presents, not the cookies... none of that. Giving mom a bracelet she picked out was what she most enjoyed about today.

El, however, really takes after his dad. I give you this conversation, from earlier today, as evidence:

El: (playing with Lego motorcycle guy) My motorcycle has 80 horsepower. That means it goes 80 times faster than a horse!

Em: MY motorcycle has 7 million thousand five two horsepower!

El: Oh man! I would be really impressed.... if that was a real number. But it's not. So I'm not.

Today's tote

Today's crayon tote: Owls! I love owls, hopefully 4 yr old T will too. Her mom ordered this for her for Christmas and I think it turned out great. (Secret weapon: the Michael Miller "Ta Dot" pink complementary fabric makes everything look extra girly and adorable.)

....aaand bonus! Flowers from my amazingly awesome husband, to celebrate the end of exam week! (Flowers were accompanied by chocolate, which did not last long enough to photograph, of course.)

Yesterday's tote

Boys love to create too! A's mom wanted some camo on this tote, which I had never worked with before so it took me a while to figure out what to pair it with. I finally settled on some plaid to add just the smallest preppy touch to this young outdoorsman's crayon tote.

Today's tote

K's mom loved the pink camo fabric I found to compliment little brother's camo crayon tote. Hopefully, she will have two happy little artists this Christmas!
